Participant observations include:

· Seemed very dark inside; especially in the corridors.

· Many of the blinds were closed because of heat caused by too much sunlight.

· The school is over crowded but they seem to manage it well.

· Many of the share-use areas (student commons, library, etc) have been taken over by classrooms to accommodate the overcapacity.

· Colors and finishes were well liked. Finishes were generally durable and holding up well.

· Liked the circular recessed lighting.

· Beautiful sundial stairwell, reinforces culture of neighborhood.
