School Tours: April 29, 2008 |

Four area schools were toured by nearly 35 representatives of the school planning committee, including students, teachers, administrators and community members. Each participant received a sketchbook and disposable camera to document spaces, building components, materials and other features that they wished to share with the wider SD81 community.
The tour bus also stopped in downtown Chicago’s inspirational Millennium Park where participants indulged in box lunches prepared by the SD81 student nutrition services.

Alternate site: (the formal school tour did not include this school, however several members of the group toured this school several days later and found it to be a good example. Because of this interest, we have included project information, floor plans and photographs, a sort of virtual tour of the facility for those who have not physically toured it. Comments and observations are also included.)
